1) I was looking through the site
and found an article titled “Egg Stem Cells”. This article was about how a
doctor was trying to figure out if it was possible to extend how long a woman
is fertile. To do this, he intensely researched stem cells. The doctor found
his first trace of stem cells in mice. Testing is still being done, but it
seems that in the future it is possible for scientists to create new fertile
eggs in an aged women. This surprised me because it will allow women who’ve
been trying to conceive a child for a long time, a few more years.
2) Looking back at emerging
technologies from 2009, I found an article that talked about creating a virtual
personal assistant. This would help you interact with services on the internet.
Back then, this was considered emerging technology and now it is called Siri.
In 2009, this was a promising dream and now is found on every iPhone 4S.
