Screencast Reflection

How do you think you did? I thought I did well. I tried to talk slow enough for my audience to understand. Do you think your audience will be able to complete that tasks given based on your tutorial? Yes because I showed them all the different steps they must do to complete the task. What was easy and what did you have trouble with? It was easy. The hardest part was not getting nervous and forgetting what to say. How could you use this web 2.0 tool in the future? I could use it to do tutorials on YouTube. Other thoughts . . . This was much easier than I thought it would be.

5 Jobs 4/24/13

The jobs I reasearched were interior designer, special education teacher, lawyer, physical therapist, and obstetrician. This project taught me about careers I didn't even know about. I was suprised at how little a teacher in Michigan makes and how much an obstetrician makes.

Emerging Technology Part 1

1) I was looking through the site and found an article titled “Egg Stem Cells”. This article was about how a doctor was trying to figure out if it was possible to extend how long a woman is fertile. To do this, he intensely researched stem cells. The doctor found his first trace of stem cells in mice. Testing is still being done, but it seems that in the future it is possible for scientists to create new fertile eggs in an aged women. This surprised me because it will allow women who’ve been trying to conceive a child for a long time, a few more years.

2) Looking back at emerging technologies from 2009, I found an article that talked about creating a virtual personal assistant. This would help you interact with services on the internet. Back then, this was considered emerging technology and now it is called Siri. In 2009, this was a promising dream and now is found on every iPhone 4S.

On this post, I will tell you a little about myself. I am 14 and go to Bedford High School. I live in a home with my Brother Joey, Mom, and Dad. My favorite color is pink and I am addicted to chewing bubblegum. I am obsessed with fashion and dream about living in Chicago or New York someday. My favorite movie is  Mean Girls and my favorite book is anything written by Nicholas Sparks. I love chinese food and baking is one of my passions.  Two things I absolutley love are Cheerleading and going to Church. My hobbies are shopping and twitter.
